Q. What causes ageing?
A. Ageing is caused by both intrinsic (internal) and extrinsic (external) ageing factors. Internal ageing is our body's natural chronological ageing process. After the age of 25, the body starts to deplete collagen at a rate of 1.5% every year; this results in the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and loss of skin elasticity.
External ageing factors such as sun exposure account for up to 90% of skin damage. The sun causes DNA damage and breaks down collagen; other external ageing factors that cause ageing are environment, temperature, gravity, repetitive facial movements and lifestyle.
Q. What causes wrinkles?
A. The way your skin looks is directly related to the way your skin is supported. Wrinkles form when the natural collagen and hyaluronic acid in your skin diminish during the natural ageing process.
Q. What are peptides?
A. Peptides are a small chain of amino acids that send signals to your skin to produce more collagen. Amino acids are the essential building blocks of the body.
Q. What are parabens?
A. Parabens are a group of chemicals used as preservatives in cosmetic/beauty products. Some common names include benzylparaben, isobutylparaben, butylparaben, propylparaben, ethylparaben, and methylparaben.
Q. Why are there fears over paraben use?
A. A number of studies have shown a possible link between breast tumours and the use of products containing parabens. There are on-going clinical studies in this area. With this in mind and to safeguard our customers concerns, PureLogicol have researched and formulated our product range to exclude parabens and other harsh chemicals.

A. Yes, PureLogicol serum acts as an excellent make-up base.
Q. Why does my skin feel tight after applying the serum?

Q. Can I apply the serum around the eye area?
A. Yes, but avoid direct eye contact. Apply with a light touch around this sensitive area.
