What Is A Facial Serum?

Facial serums are often used in conjunction with moisturisers and exfoliates; as part of a complete facial treatment. They have been used in spas for years where they were known as the key to beautiful younger looking skin.

Serums come in liquid form and contain highly concentrated measurements of key ingredients which help to minimise redness, the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines protecting the skin from dehydration. Facial serums were made in order to add extra nutrients into the skin when it is most needed. A good facial serum will contain up to 70 percent of active ingredients which work to give you healthier looking skin.

In general, serums penetrate the skin much more deeply than moisturisers do. They can tackle the problem much more effectively. They are also free from oily and waxy substances, so are great for people with particularly oily skin.

The best reason to use a serum is because it reaches parts of the skin a moisturiser would not. You should apply your serum after you tone, but before you moisturise, in order to get the most benefit from it. If you apply serum regularly, you should see a huge improvement in your complexion and your skin will be much healthier with it.
