Skincare routines through the years
As time go passing by, our skin starts to look and feel older, but with today's research and technology your skin does not have to age as quickly. One thing to remember is that it is never too soon to start looking after your skin and fight premature ageing, whatever your age.
It doesn’t matter how old you are, there is a skincare regime that will suit your skin and help you protect against the onset of fine lines, age spots and wrinkles. As you age, your skin needs different things and you must consider what they are and adapt your skincare regime accordingly.
When you are in your teens you must carry out a thorough skincare routine, whether you are in your early teens or late teens. Do this by cleansing every day and night, as this helps to keep your pores clean. You must moisturise every day, using a light and non greasy moisturiser and always use a good SPF when in the sun.
When you are in your 20's invest some money in a good anti ageing cream for your eyes, as your eyes show the first signs of ageing. Use this twice a day to help the thinning skin around your eyes. Also start using an age defying cream on your face and neck.
When you are in your 30' and 40's use a milky or cream cleanser as part of your daily skincare routine, but try to avoid using astringent toners, as these can leave your skin feeling dry and dehydrated. Also introduce a facial massage, as this will help boost circulation. Use anti ageing creams day and night and ensure you are using an eye cream, especially when your eyes are looking puffy or tired.
In your 50's and 60's introduce a collagen skin care product into your daily skincare regime, there are a number of good collagen beauty products on the market to choose from. Always try and use a good anti wrinkle cream and make sure you cleanse, tone and moisturise daily and use a facial scrub or exfoliator on a weekly basis.
