Natural skin care – fact or fiction?
Many people seem to think that natural skin care products are just an old wives tale, and do not actually work, but why not have a try yourself at some of these natural skin care recipes and see if they really are fact or fiction.
Sea salt can remove dry and flaky dead skin. Rinse your face or part of your body and apply 2 tablespoons of sea salt. Now massage it gently into your skin with your fingers or a damp cloth. Avoid the eye area, as this will irritate the gentle sensitive skin around your eyes. After 2 minutes, rinse the sea salt thoroughly from your face. Ensure that you rinse with cold water, as this tightens your pores.
Try a fruity lip gloss, all you need is 1 tablespoon of solid shortening, 1 tablespoon of fruit flavoured powdered drink mix and a 35mm film container. Mix the shortening and drink powder in a bowl that is safe to put into the microwave. Then stir until smooth. Now put in the microwave on full power for 30 seconds, the mix should now become a liquid. Empty the mixture into the film container and put it into the fridge for 20 to 30 minutes until hard.
A carrot facial mask is great for hydrating and replenishing your skin. All you need for this are 2 to 3 carrots and 4 half tablespoons of honey. Cook the carrots and then mash them up. Now mix in the honey and apply it to your skin. Leave it on for 10 minutes and then rinse thoroughly with cool water.
Although it may be a good idea to try these home remedies, there are many products on the market that have been designed to meet specific customer needs.
