How do facemasks work?

Human skin is very complex. Our skin has a protective layer made up of fats which help to keep the moisture locked into our skin and creates a barrier to stop foreign objects getting in. It is these fats which help to keep skin looking young, soft and plump by keeping the skin hydrated. If the skin is not hydrated, fine lines and sore skin can occur and skin will lose some of its elasticity and suppleness.

Face masks act as a vital nutrient for the skin. They are much more effective than a simple moisturiser because they are much thicker and because they are left on the skin for a longer period of time. Facemasks open the pores and get inside the skin in a much more effective way, helping to keep skin younger and smoother.

Face masks are used to cleanse the skin. They gently remove oil, dirt and foreign substances from the skin with minimum effort and maximum impact. Most face masks contain clay which is used to absorb dirt, sweat and pollutants from the skin effectively. Facial masks also remove dead skin, leaving the face younger and fresher.

Face masks are very good at unblocking the pores and clean pores are vital for achieving a healthy complexion. Face masks which cleanse and exfoliate the face, open and clean pores more effectively than any other beauty treatment out there.
