Food for Thought
The next time you do your weekly or monthly food shopping, think about how you intend to treat your skin. Your skincare says a lot about you and looking vibrant and youthful should be right at the top of your shopping list along with the milk and toothpaste.
You can apply a really good age defying cream or one of the best skin care products, but your money will be wasted if you do not have the right diet.
The best way to better skincare is to cleanse, tone and moisturise, but you should also change your diet. Your skin needs nutrients, which are provided in your skin care products, but they are also in the food you consume.
Try eating foods like nuts, fish and avocado, as these products contain omega 3 oils. Research shows that by consuming a small amount of one or two healthy oils each day will help regenerate your skin and produce good healthy skin cells.
If you are prone to dark circles under your eyes or dull skin, then a good anti ageing cream for your eyes is always a good option, but it is also a sign of a poor digestive system. Try eating yoghurts and mushrooms as these contain collagen building zinc. Also eat more tomatoes during the summer months as these help protect your skin from sun damage and a little of what you fancy, such as dark chocolate will work wonders for your blood flow.
