Dry body brushing can help reduce dry skin
We all want to transform our bodies and eliminate dry skin; we also want to reduce those dreaded problem cellulite areas. There is no miracle cure there are thing we can do to help. Dry body brushing is one of them.
Body brushing is one of beauty's best kept secrets that will make your body feel incredible. If you give yourself a dry body brush for 3 minutes each day, then you will make your skin feel noticeably smoother and you will feel invigorated from top to bottom.
Dry body brushing can help remove dead skin cells and make your skin feel soft, it helps boost your circulation and helps reduce the appearance of cellulite on your body. Here is how it works:
Use a dry brush to brush your body before a bath or shower and sweep it across your skin in the direction of your heart.
If you have rough elbows, this is because dry skin cells build up on your elbows. To remove these gently brush in a circular motion and apply body moisturiser.
If you suffer from hard skin on the heels of your feet, then use your brush in short sweeping strokes. This will help keep your feet soft along with some foot softening cream.
Do & Don'ts
Do brush the same area several times as one sweep is not enough.
Do wash your brush regularly.
Do brush thoroughly if you are applying fake tan.
Don't brush your nipples, as this is too harsh for sensitive areas.
Don't worry if small blemishes appear, as this is a sign that your skin is detoxing.
Don't brush if you have a skin condition and speak to your doctor first.
Dry body brushing is not the answer to perfect skin, and it does not mean you should ditch the skincare products. You still need to carry out your regular skincare regime and invest in some collagen skin care products.
