Ageing strategies for your body and mind

It does not matter what we do, we cannot stop the ageing process, but there are many things that we do that can accelerate our skin ageing, there are however also many things we can do to slow the process down.

Some people decide it is time to start looking after their skin when they don't like what they see in mirror or maybe they have started to think about what they are going to look like in the future. If this is how you feel then it is time to start thinking about some anti ageing strategies and a good skincare regime.

When thinking about what anti ageing strategies you are going to employ you must consider the following, the interior of your body, the exterior of your body and your mind.

Exterior anti ageing strategies involve looking after your skin, a good skincare routine, cleansing, toning and moisturising. Your skin says a lot about you, not only your age, but also how healthy you are. Applying a good skin mask or gel can rehydrate your skin and get rid of dead skin cells to allow the growth of new ones. You must also protect yourself from sun damage and smoke from tobacco products.

To look after the interior of your body, you need drink plenty of water, as this helps to hydrate your skin. You must ensure that you are getting the correct amount of sleep, as lack of sleep can speed up the ageing process.

To look after your mind, ensure that you are getting plenty of exercise and keep your mind active. Try not to put yourself in stressful situations and enjoy the smaller pleasures in life.
